Sliding Shower Doors: Know Your Frameless Sliding Kit Options

Sliding Shower Doors: Know Your Frameless Sliding Kit Options

19th May 2026

Frameless sliding shower doors are popular for their blend of stylish design and space-efficiency. They are hard to beat for bathrooms with insufficient clearance around the shower – rooms in which there’s not enough open floor space for a hinged door to function. At the same time, these doors look just as good in large spaces, where a corner enclosure with a sliding door is often paired with a free-standing tub.

Glass Simple offers three frameless slider hardware kits to help you meet customers’ budget and design goals. In this overview, our experienced team will highlight the features of and differences among these choices.

Glass Simple’s Savannah Sliding Door Kit

Our Savannah 180° Sliding Shower Door System (SAV78) offers a sleek look at a lower price point than our other kits, making it attractive for any homeowner, but especially those remodeling on a budget. We invite you to compare this product to CRL’s Serenity SER78 and FHC’s Denali DEN180.

The Savannah kit is for one sliding door in line with a fixed panel. Key features include:

  • A flat header bar with square edges
  • Circular rollers
  • A pair of track holder brackets for the fixed panel
  • Finger pull included in the kit
  • For use with 3/8” glass only

The kit itself contains the header bar, rollers, door stopper, wall mount brackets, track holder brackets, finger pull, bottom guide, and L-jamb.

Note that this kit does not come with the clamps and/or U-channel for installing the fixed panel or the glass itself, but these can be purchased separately from Glass Simple. If you are using this for a corner shower, Glass Simple’s SAV90 is designed for converting it for use on a right angle enclosure.

Glass Simple’s Coronado Sliding Door Kit

Turning to our Coronado 180° Sliding Shower Door System (COR78), this product offers similar functionality to the Serenity, a somewhat different appearance, and a mid-range price point. We invite you to compare the Coronado to FHC’s Clearwater CW78 and CRL’s Crescent CRE78.

Like the Serenity, the Coronado is designed for an enclosure with a single sliding door next to a fixed panel. Points of difference include:

  • A round header bar
  • Bottom sweep included
  • For use with 3/8” or 1/2" glass
  • Door handle/pull not included

The round header bar has a slightly smaller footprint than the flat version used on the Serenity, and some remodelers prefer this look.

In this kit, you will find: header bar, rollers, door stopper, wall mount brackets, track holder brackets, bottom guide, bottom sweeps (one for 1/2” and one for 3/8” glass), and L-jamb. Items to be purchased separately include the glass itself, U-channel or clamps for the fixed panel, door knob or handle, and - if it is going on a 90-degree corner shower - Glass Simple’s COR90.

Glass Simple’s Daytona Sliding Door Kit

Last but not least, we have our dual roller kit, DAY73 – Daytona 180° Sliding Shower Door System. This one has a higher price point because, unlike our other kits, it is for two operable sliding doors hanging from and rolling along one header bar. At times homeowners prefer the flexibility and versatile functionality offered by dual doors, which make it possible to enter and exit the shower on either side. We invite you to compare the Daytona to CRL’s Cambridge CAM73 and FHC’s Napa NAPA180.

Notable features of the Daytona include:

  • A flat header bar with square edges
  • For use with 3/8” glass only
  • Maximum door width 36”
  • Maximum door weight 90 lb.

The kit includes: header bar, rollers, doorstopper, wall mount brackets, track holder brackets for the fixed panel, finger pull, bottom guide, and L-jamb. The glass door panels are sold separately, as is DAY90, which converts the Daytona kit for use on a 90 degree enclosure should you need this.
